Hate crime is a widely prevalent and vicious evil in oiur society today. It generally targets individuals because of race , gender, ethnicity, religion, disability and national origin. In the 19th century, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People led the fight against hate crime and for stronger laws.
In California prisons, hate crimes against minorities happen daily. The whole community should hae a strong voice and a hand in writing and enforcing hate crime laws.
